Reading for Developing Expression

An effective way of developing expression in any language is reading books of prominent writers. Learning English can become much easier when one is determined to read the authentic works. It also leads to less grammatical mistakes. Vocabulary also increases due to such reading. It does not mean that one has to go through a dozen books; at times reading only one books is enough to mature one's understanding of the language and to acquire grip on the subject.
Two writers that can be of great help are: Bertrand Russell and Will Durant. Bertrand Russell, though a mathematician, is known for his grip on philosophy, and received Nobel Prize of Literature. Also, Will Durant is applauded for his philosophical subjects written with unique simplicity that has been seldom observed in the intricate subject of philosophy. One does not have to go through the whole books of these; only one or two chapters that one is interested in.
Here, for your convenience, I have uplaoded links of e-books of Russel and Durant that you may download and read.
P.S. Don't forget to write a page on each topic that you are going to read.

1. The Conquest of Happiness by Russell

2. Unpopular Essays by Russell

3. The Pleasures of Philosophy by Will Durant

4. Lessons from History by Will Durant
